beaded christmas tree
The projects that I sometimes think are a bit too simple or silly sometimes turn out the biggest hits with my kids. This is an example of that. The 6, 4 and 2 year old all LOVED this little project.
We put the ornaments and lights on first. We put glue dots down and put the pretty beads on each dot. Use more colorful beads than you think each tree will need because the colors tend to disappear in all the green later on.
Next, we smeared glue on the construction paper and put on the green beads. The kids liked putting the green beads on one at a time, but when my 2 year old wasn’t looking I might’ve added them by the handful to make hers go faster. 😉
Finally, pose with your masterpiece before you let it dry. My kids aren’t much into smiling for the camera these days, so I’ll take what I can get.
We have ours on our window so they won’t get touched much – we used just Elmer’s glue which I like for kids, but the beads aren’t really super super stuck and if it gets handled a bunch they fall off. Hang it up and admire from a distance if you want it to last all season!
